Anonymous asked: Hi Voula, just started following you and was wondering how you sustain your lifestyle of travel? Isn't it expensive? Got an tips for an aspiring vagabond? @nassosaurus

hi @nassosaurus - thanks for reaching out. i left the corporate world many years ago to get back into aviation and to pursue photography. i was a flight attendant many years ago and missed the industry and the lifestyle. i was lucky enough to be hired by a great airline. so i travel for work and on my leisure time. my camera never leaves my side. i have the best of both worlds; i love both of my careers. so the moral of the story, if you really want to travel more and not spend a fortune, make it part of your work. best of luck. :)

happy valentine’s day greece. i have never been a fan of valentine’s day. i have never been one for doing anything out of social expectation or obligation period. i do however, appreciate gestures of love any day of the year. love should not be restricted to one dedicated day, it should be given and received all the time; it’s love, it’s free, it’s benevolent, it inspires growth and makes the world go ‘round! so, i am a ‘hopeful’ romantic; i give as much love as i can, when i can, however i can. i am open to it and i find it in so much. if we choose to find it, see it, create it, we will see that love IS all around us, all the time, every day.i was in paris last week. and as usual, i visited pont des arts; a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the seine river. it is where lovers affix marked padlocks to the bridge and throw the key in the seine. this symbolizes their eternal love for each other. there are thousands of locks on the bridge. amongst them stood out this lock with these greek names on it. so i shot it. after all greece is everywhere. this year if i so must have a “valentine”, i choose greece. as you know, greece is going through hell right now. its uncertain future is killing everyone with an ounce of greek or compassion in them. but greece has been through worse and i know with love, creativity, determination, greece can get through this. happy valentine’s day greece.
